Each unit involves a close look at the social reality, an engagement with Jewish text to consider approaches to the challenge, meeting with people and organizations working to address elements of the problem, and hands-on social action to engage the cause.
In closing the 32 meetings, fellows finish off the year by identifying an area that they are interested in contributing to. Together with the cohort, we then help them develop a plan and identify resources to realize their impact and help them birth at a project of their own initiative.
Hessed v'Tzedek Project
A fellowship program for both religious and secular 6th graders to confront societal challenges, consider Jewish approaches to them and engage in hands on social justice work together.
